Pop would have been 80 years old on Monday (8/2/21). I really miss him telling me how many days until football season, which was especially spirited this time of the year. When I reflect back, my dad was the kind of father who hesitated to ask for help. I can remember him telling me that he did not want to inconvenience me for having to take him to the ER and stay with him at the hospital. As I have gotten older, I realize that it never becomes easy to be a father. I miss our lunches together as the Asian Bistro, where he would always order broccoli in his food because he liked the flavor but he did in fact not like broccoli. This always confused the poor waiter, especially with the language barrier. My final thought: Life is short everyone. Tell your loved ones TODAY how much you love them. 

Farewell  Brother. We served and shared life thru Montgomery Boy's Club, YMCA, Exchange Club, Hunting, Igor's, Gators vs Tide, and Love for our respective families . I will miss you and hope to see you again down the road.

My dad and me always shared a special bond regarding our love for football. As that time of the year approaches, I will miss our post weekend conversations about the games the previous weekend. If Alabama ever lost, I always waited a few extra days to call him to talk about the game. Unless Alabama won by 50 points and the other team never made a first down, they had played poorly in his mind. I am posting a picture of us celebrating his last birthday. I love you and I miss you Pop. 

Mr. Lamar was a valued family member in our office. Some of my favorite memories were when he would come into our office to take care of his business. As he opened the door, in would come Pebbles and she would plop down on the cool, wooden floor as Mr. Lamar would take a seat at my desk. I loved listening to him and Mr. John talk stories about football and cars and he would often talk about his family and how they took care of him. We loved it when he came in or when he would call in over the phone. Normally our goal in the office is to help other's feel better for having talked to us, but with Mr. Lamar, we always felt better for having talked to him. Our office will be missing a bright light and our thoughts and prayers are continually with his sweet family. 

We did not get a chance to meet Mr. Wagner “POP”, But we are forever grateful for his kindness and love for our sons Danilo and Nick.
He opened his Home to my sons and welcome them with open arms and treated them like his very own. The boys will treasure all the memories and you will always hold a very special place in their hearts.  Rest In Peace Pop!

I met Mr. Lamar and Ms. Pebbles at the dog park a couple of years ago. He made me feel welcomed and appreciated and he always checked on me when I didn't show up for the day. 
He was always so kind, sweet and polite that I'm convinced that he was an angel on earth. He was my friend and  I will miss him deeply. 


I was privileged to meet Lamar at the Bark Park several years ago. I  looked forward to seeing him and Miss Pebbles. He was always funny and sweet.  Every time I saw him he would give me the countdown to  the next Alabama football game and tell me who they were playing. The University of Alabama has lost a big fan and I have lost a wonderful friend.  He will be missed. Praying for his family.

Glad that you joined our lunch bunch several years ago. It was a pleasure getting to know you and talking Alabama football with you.

Lamar has been a regular at the park from the beginning,  he was family, we often referred to him as the Mayor of the Smalls, he called his group “The Old Barks”.  Lamar loved the Bark Park and bringing his heart Pebbles to the park to hang out with his friends. (You’d actually rarely find Lamar anywhere without Pebbles, once I was at CVS and there she was in the buggy..❤️) He always checked in on us when we were down, he sent us emails with jokes to keep our spirits high. I’m truly going to miss him. We all are.

Great guy and I will always remember that he always had good things to say. Never an unkind word. We enjoyed a few trips to his suggested eating places., for example the shrimp basket.
A kind and gentle man and it was such an honor to know him. 
He was always so sweet to our granddaughters and daughter and never forgot a birthday.  He enjoyed being at softball games and cheered the girls on.  
Gosh, we are so sorry to lose such a kind, caring and intelligent gentleman.  Sincere condolences to his family and friends.  He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
Rest In Peace Lamar and pray for us all up there in a Heaven.  We will miss you 💙🙏

Aunt Ethel, Lamar’s mama, was my most favorite Aunt. I was her side kick for quite while. I will always treasure the light and joy in her eyes when she greeted her family.  Aunt Ethel passed the same love  down Lamar. When my Mama and Daddy were so sick, he came to visit them multiple times.  It was always just perfect visit. Lamar came to our house with a pep in his step, Pebbles in his arms, and joy to share. I will always be grateful for the way he loved my family through our darkest day. He was a happy soul. He had such pride in his heart when he talked about his  grand babies... they are perfect in his eyes. 
I pray he and Aunt Ethel are laughing together. I hope he is with lots of puppies.

RIP in peace Mr. Wagner. I remember you, my dad (Raymond Cozart), Danny Beard Sr & Freddy Wilkerson coaching at Southern League & Montgomery Gray.  Those were some of the best days. Heaven gained an angel for sure. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.  😇🙏😇 

You will be so missed.   Thanks for being a great friend.   I will miss our talks about football and of course our fur babies.   I can't wait to see you again one day!!!!!!  Love Dana
