Mrs. Freddie has been apart of our family for a very long time. My mother, aunt, and cousin have given around the clock care for her for years and she has been a blessing in our lives. One of the most outspoken women I know. She wouldn't hold back her words and would tell you exactly how she felt lol. One of the many reasons we loved her dearly...she was such a character. Full of life and the funniest sense of humor you can imagine. We loved Mrs. Freddie and when we lost our grandmother a couple of years ago Mrs. Freddie sort of took her place. She will forever be in our heart and will truely be missed. We appreciate the Oswalt family for allowing us into your family and letting us care for her and getting to know and love her as they would. We will miss you dearly Granny Freddie and we love you so very much....Tell Granny we said Hi and we miss and love her as well 💜

We loved Mrs. Freddie. She was family to us. I would like to thank Doris for giving our family the opportunity to know and care for Mrs. Freddie. To Glennita, Alf, Sonya and Joel: Mrs. Freddie loved y'all. She talked about y'all so much that we loved y'all before we met you (Joel was her favorite). When I met y'all, I loved you even more. Thank You for sharing her with us. My prayers and condolences are with you. God Bless!

Mrs. Freddie has been a part of my life for a long as I can remember.  She was always happy, always singing and smiling. 
 
My fondest memory is when we were all together for a family weekend at my grandmother's home.  My grandmother and I had made a big coconut cake.  In two days Mrs. Freddie and Mama Lee ate the entire coconut cake and complained for a long time after that their mouths were sore.

We love you! Godspeed Mrs. Freddie.  RIP faithful servant.



RIP , Mrs. Freddie you will truly be missed by our entire family. You have a heart of gold and didn't mind telling it like it was. You had the best support during your time on earth. Gonna miiss our late night talks. Love you and praying for the family!

I was so very fortunate to know Mrs Freddie. I was so grateful that she allowed me to be a part of her life and her world. We would sit and talk about any and every thing. She didn't mind telling me what she thought about anything, and every thing not holding back on nothing. She became known to my friends as my road dog.  She was well known and liked by my pastor and church members. I will forever miss you Mrs Freddie but I am happy to know that you are free from any pain and is at peace. R.I.P.

Ms. Freddie was a very sweet lady. She hated to be told what to do lol she would curse you out in a heartbeat. She wasn’t scared of anyone, I’m very glad i had the chance to meet Ms. Freddie and be treated like family. She was a small woman with a heart of a lion, she will be truly missed. 

Glenita  I am forever grateful that you shared your mom with my family. Of all my patients Freddie is the one I really bonded with like a grandmom. Glenita thanks for being such an awesome daughter too your mom, and George you were the best son-in-law in the world according to Mrs. Freddie. Sonya and Joel you were her world. My whole family loved Mrs. Freddie as a part of our family. Our family functions want be the same without you. I am truly goung to miss you fussing at me, but i want miss dusting all those dolls! I love you and RIP. 

So sorry to hear about Aunt Freddie, but thankful that our hope is in Jesus Christ and that she is reunited with Uncle Joel, Lady, mother, and so many others. She knew I loved her and I knew she loved me. I always enjoyed our visits in Mobile, B’Ham, and Florida. She was a great cook and always made my favorites... (roast,peas & cornbread). Whether we were shopping, going to Arts & Crafts, or watching the neighbors from the kitchen window, we were laughing and having a good time!   Thoughts & prayers, Susan

When I think of Aunt Freddie there are so many thoughts that come into my mind - love, laughter, learning and fun times whether at home or on vacations. Many people say she was a "character" and yes she was a "one of a kind" "unique individual" truly a person that if you ever met her once, you would never forget her.  She taught me so many things cooking, cleaning, how to dress, how others shouldn't dress, whatever it was she had an opinion of her own.   Aunt Freddie always had a clean house -- from the floors to the walls to every little tiny tea set, bear and doll.  I don't think there is any of our family that has not received one of her hand-made crafts or special little gift that was always something useful.  
From the time I was a baby when my Mother had to work Aunt Freddie and Uncle Joel took me in and "raised" me along the side of their daughter, Glennita.  We played side by side for years and Aunt Freddie was like a second Mom to me.  And then as I got older and moved to Florida they moved nearby at a time in my life that I really needed family close and they were there to hold my hand - keep my boys, Jeff and Marty, and give me time I needed to work at my career.  Then as time went by I moved closer to them in Leesburg and was able to help them more as they aged.  

As I write this I can still remember her laugh, her smile, her saying "Come on in Dawnie"
She is certainly missed and we will remember the good times and keep her in our hearts forever.
Rest in Peace in the hands of our Lord --

I've been so fortunate to know all of my grandparents but I spent the most time over the years with Granny.  Every summer I would spend several weeks by myself with Daddy Joel and Granny and, while Daddy Joel worked all day, Granny and I would hang out around the house or shop every day.  We cooked, cleaned, sewed, did crafts, and laughed until the wee hours of the night.  If Daddy Joel had to work the next morning, he would holler for us to stop laughing, which usually just made us laugh more.  She would tell me stories of her childhood and I remember marveling at how different it was from my own.  She attended my graduations and my wedding, of course.  And, when Joel was born, she adored him.  Dementia claimed her mind a while ago but she frequently asked for Joel and we would still visit even when she no longer recognized us.  She frustrated us and made me laugh all at the same time these last few years.  

Although I have too many wonderful memories to recount here... the RC Cola and the Moon Pie, learning to cook, the Chinese restaurant, the infamous beach visit, watching Good Times, playing games, her collections, saving Daddy Joel money when we shopped... it is her singing that I will remember most.  When I would stay with them, I would frequently hear her singing hymns from another room.  Sometimes I would join in singing and sometimes I would just listen.  My favorite though (and I suspect hers as well as she sang it most) was I'll Fly Away.  I always had a hard time resisting joining in on that one.  Sometimes she sang the real words and sometimes she made up her own.  

"Some bright morning when this life is over, I'll fly away.  To that home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away.  I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away.  When I die, Hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away."  

Days fade and it hard for me to remember your face. Life has been a nightmare since you went away. Trying to hold on to memories, but i can't make them stay. I wish you was here each and everyday. You was always happy even on sad days. You was like a grandmother to me when my grandma past away.  I learn to never be selfish when god call your love ones into heaven, because we will all meet again someday. 

My deepest condolences to Dennita and her family for the loss of their loved one, Mrs Freddie.  I am very saddened to hear of your loss.  I pray God will shelter you in this difficult time.
