Fredrick Vrgora passed away suddenly on February 21, 2026. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Angelina Vrgora and his brother, Darko Vrgora. He is survived by his father, Sam Vrgora, his brother, Peter Vrgora and sister-in-law, Lynda Vrgora, his best friend and neighbor, Charlyn Liddell, and his rowdy dog, Sheba.
He was originally from Sun Valley, California, but came to Montgomery, Alabama to serve in the Air Force in 1980. He received master's degrees in Criminal Justice and Counseling from Auburn University Montgomery, and became a Juvenile Probation Officer with Montgomery County. In this capacity, he helped many young people and touched countless families.
He was a lifelong Catholic, and a loyal member of both Holy Spirit and St. Bede Catholic Churches in Montgomery. Unlike people who attend church every Sunday, he made it a point to be there every day!
He enjoyed traveling, and visited nearly all of the U. S Presidents' Libraries. He also traveled to several countries.
