George Steven Pierce

Steve “Pawpaw” Pierce passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at his home in Deatsville, Alabama. A family and friends visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th at 1:00 pm at Leak Memorial Chapel. A graveside burial service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm.

Steve is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice Fay Pierce, their daughter, Spring Pierce Luster [Danny], and their two grandchildren, Danny “DJ” Luster Jr. and Bethany Faye Luster. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lane Pierce and Marjorie Sellers Pierce.

God called Steve home at the age of 77 after a long and happy life as a husband, father, and grandfather. In his younger years, he proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force National Guard. He later served the Montgomery tri-county area as a realtor for over 35 years. He loved his Montgomery Metro Realty family of friends, whom he deeply cherished and with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a passionate Alabama football fan who enjoyed watching the games with his family every Saturday.

The pallbearers will be Danny Luster, Danny Luster Jr., Kristian White, Seth Locke, Mike Byrd, and Roscoe Howell.
