Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 18 at 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel with the Reverend Warren Culver officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Lane Newton.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bobby Glenn of Montgomery; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Gwen Newton of Fortson, Ga., Steven and Patricia Newton of Adamsville, Al.; a sister and brother-in-law, Era and James Pollard of Brundidge, Al.; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Newton was a longtime member of Capitol Heights Baptist Church. She and her husband, Lane loved to travel. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking, spending time with her family, church family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Capitol Heights Baptist Church, 2514 Madison Avenue 36107.
