Glenda Ray Hollingshead

She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Rush Hill; mother, Nan Allie Hill; brothers, Robert Henry Hill, John Rufus Hill and Richard Glenn Hill; sisters, Betty Pearl Harris, Vivian Virginia Lyon, and Mary Bell Jinright; nephew, Jerry Cargile Jr.; and niece, Darlene Hill Farish. She is survived by her husband, Mervin Hollingshead; daughter, Crystal Missildine; granddaughter, Ariel Missildine; sister, Georgia Cargile; sister-in-law, Faye Hill; nephews Ronnie Cargile, Michael Cargile, Jimmy Lyon Jr., Billy Lyon, and Glen Hill; nieces, Pamela Bush, Tammy Cargile, Belinda Estes (Tony), Carol Holmes, Shirley Hopper (Kenneth), Sharon West, and Brenda Hill; as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

Glenda's church as well as her faith was an extremely important part of her life. She loved her family incredibly and expressed this love by always being with them, supporting them, and loving them. Her family returned this love and will dearly miss Glenda.

A friends and family visitation for Glenda will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Hills Chapel UMC, 5107 Long and Hills Chapel Rd., Ramer, AL 36069, followed by a celebration of life church service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial across the street in Hills Chapel Cemetery.
