

Hazel Bryant, 92, a seventy-year resident of Montgomery, passed away at home on September 10, 2025. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel. A celebration of life service will begin at 2:00 PM with Brother Bill Tucker officiating. Burial will take place at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.
Hazel had a keen interest in gardening, spending countless hours tending to her flowers and lawn. She took pride in her culinary skills. She could make a mean cat head biscuit.
She was born in Monroe County, Alabama, where she worked at Vanity Fair Mills and met the love of her life there, Max Bryant. They married in 1953.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Max, daughter Janice Bryant, brother Red Everett, sisters Ima Stabler, Loree Widney and Roberta Hall.
She is survived by her son Terry (Sherry) Bryant, grandchildren Michael Hester, Joy Hester, Max Bryant and Marlee Bryant, great-grandchildren Jannice Hester, Michael Hester and Jordan Hester and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Minnie Hilton and Jean Walker.
She was a pillar of strength, compassion, and warmth in our lives and her legacy will forever be cherished by everyone who knew her.
