Helen B Burch

Helen Brown Burch, 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Born on February 8, 1925, Mrs. Burch spent her remaining years in the Pike Road area of Montgomery. She was married for 57 years to Rolland B. Burch.

She was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, and held a Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She spent her career as a laboratory technician for the VA Hospital system in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was a long time member of Woodland Methodist Church and was active in the choir and numerous committees. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rolland B. Burch, her brother, Daren Douglas Brown, and her sister Neva V. Brown.

She is survived by her nieces, Jane (Jay) Stallman, Ellen (William) Tucker; her nephew David (Linda) Brown and their families. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret B. Brown.

Following a private burial, a Memorial Service will take place on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Woodland Methodist Church with Reverend Tim Meadows officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodland Methodist Church food Pantry, 4428 Wallahatchie Road, Pike Road, AL, 36064.
