Helen Dollar

Mrs. Helen Dollar of Fitzpatrick, AL, passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 84. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She worked at the Chamber of Commerce and then for The Business Council of Alabama. Helen loved spending time with family, reading, crocheting blankets, and cooking for her family. She had a heart for the Lord and served alongside her husband, Bobby, with the Gideons. She loved doing for others and had a very giving heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; her son, Mark Dollar; her parents, Russell and Virginia Reedy; and her brother, Charles Reedy.

Mrs. Dollar is survived by her daughters, Debra (David) Roberts, Vicki (Gerald) Thurmond, Cherry (Robert) Wilkerson, and Mona (Steve) Robinson; and her grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Roberts, Josh Roberts, Brian (Amy) Thurmond, Laurabeth (John) Chandler, Adam (Jan) Dollar, Rachel Dollar, Robin (Jim) Goodman, Ashley (DJ) Williams, Joel (Kristina) Robinson, and Megan Robinson; and her great grandchildren, Kyler Roberts, Clayton and Garrett Thurmond, Sadie and Austin Chandler, Kaitlyn and Evan Goodman, Graci and Trent Williams, McKenzie Dollar, Holden Robinson, Hadlee Ragsdale, Charley Rae Ragsdale, and Liam Robinson.

Pallbearers will be Brian Thurmond, DJ Williams, Joel Robinson, Jim Goodman, Evan Goodman as well as honorary pallbearers, Jason and Josh Roberts.

A visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to Gideons International, 1038 Woodley Rd., Montgomery, Alabama 36106 US.
