Henry Wade McCormick

Henry Wade McCormick, age 73, of Deatsville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born to Henry Judson McCormick and Alice Irean Genaux McCormick in California, Henry settled in Alabama around 1976. Serving in the Air Force, working as an officer in California, later with the Montgomery Police Department, and driving a truck for his own company, his occupational resume' slanted toward helping people.

Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Miranda. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Causey McCormick; his sons, Dennis Hauck, Mark Hauck, Cameron McCormick, David and Jimmy Grey; his daughter, Sarah Natella Phillips; his grandchildren, Alex McCormick, John Cameron McCormick, Abigail Snider, Julie Lane, and Tommy Hewitt; a great grandchild, Levi Lane; and his siblings, Lewis J. McCormick, Teddy McCormick, Barney McCormick, and Helon Irean McCormick Bennett.

A mason active with Oak Park Masonic Lodge #864, he enjoyed camping and traveling always accompanied by his dog. Pall bearers will be Barney McCormick, Donald Bennett, Donnie Causey, David Grey, Lewis McCormick, and Terry McCormick. Services officiated by Pastor Chandler Gatewood of Cains Chapel in Holtville.

A visitation for Henry will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Following the visitation will be a graveside at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109.
