Ivaleen Abrams

Also known as Ivy by many who knew and loved her, was born July 24, 1953 to Irby Clarence Smithson and Audie Cornelia Smithson, who preceded her in death. She is a 1972 graduate of Williams High School and she retired in 2014 from Montgomery Community Action Agency after 39 years of dedication.

Ivaleen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Clay Abrams; Children, Michael A. Goodin, Jr., Heather Jo Abrams, Katherine Ivaleen Leathers and Karla Irene Snider (Boone); Sister, Audie Jernigan; Life-long best friend who she called sister, Rebecca Leverette; Grandchildren, Nathan Novotny, Elizabeth Peters, Kyra Pyrlik, Autumn Leathers, Fallon Abrams, Ruby Leathers, Everly Leathers and Elijah Snider; Great-grandchildren, Carson Peters, Joanna Peters, Delilah Peters and Naomi Eagle.

And many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Nina very much.

Funeral services will be held on December 22, 2023 at White Chapel Funeral home located at 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109.

Visitation is from 10am - 11am.

Service begins at 11am with graveside immediately afterwards.

Serving as pallbearers will be Boone Snider, Nathan Novotny, Mark Jeter, Aaron Peters, Austin McDaniel and Jessy Reynolds.

Ivy loved unconditionally with her whole heart and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
