James L. Martin, Sr., age 83, of Montgomery, died suddenly Dec. 5, 2017. He is survived by his High School sweetheart, Lois Smith Martin; Son, Jimmy (Janice) Martin; Daughter, Vicki Martin (Buzz)Sawyer; Grandchildren, Trey Martin, D.J. Ryals, Amy and Wesley Sawyer; Great Grand Chrildren, Taylor, Brent, T.J., Aubrie, Ethan, and Bodhi Martin and Caden Sawyer. He was owner of James Martin Motor Co. for 46 years. He was a member of Taylor Road Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on his farm with his family. He was a avid fan of Alabama Football.
Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home, Friday, Dec. 8, at 2:00PM, with funeral services at 3:00PM, by Brother Winston Brooks. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Bennett Baxley, Mitchell Allen, Art Sexton, & Dean Walker - lifelong friends and business associates.
