Jean Davis Jefferson, 75, a resident of Montgomery, AL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 2, 2013. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Eastmont Baptist Church from 9:30-11:00, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Mike Northcutt and Rev. Burton Herring officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery. Jean was a longtime member of the choir at Eastmont Baptist. She loved to crochet and cook, but her true passion was quilting. She made baby quilts for all the grandchildren and great grandchildren growing up. Her legacy as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend will never be forgotten. Jean is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Ralph Jefferson; two daughters, Cindy Jefferson McKim (Harvey), Lisa Jefferson Birchfield; son, Steve Jefferson (Vicki); two sisters, Sylvia Davis Coyte, Etta Davis; two brothers, Douglas Davis (Ronna Faye), Billy Davis; eight grandchildren, Cary Gainey, Justin Gainey, Ryan Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Krystina Papa, Katlin Papa, Joey Papa, Blake Jefferson; and six great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Gainey, Cary Gainey, Blake Jefferson, David Coyte, Earl Mills, and Robert Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be the Heart of Dixie Ramblers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alacare in memory of Jean Davis Jefferson.
