John Floyd McNeal

A former member of The United Naval Reserve 1949-1951, United States Air Force 1951-1955 and Alabama Air National Guard 1955-1958 and the 160th unit at Dannelly Field. He was a Charter member of the 280th Communication Squadron SP, Maxwell AFB. He was awarded the Alabama Air National Guard Chief Master Sergeant for the year 1976. He retired with 41 total years of military service and retired as a Communication Specialist from Maxwell and Gunter AFB. with twenty eight years of service in 1986.

He was a member of Dalraida United Methodist Church and served on the Administrative Board, Board of Trustees Chairman and various committees.

He was preceded in death by his parents Luey John McNeal and Mary Elizabeth Floyd McNeal Coram. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Junie Mae Wager McNeal. Two daughters, Rebecca M. Lewis (Jim) and Susan M. McNeal. One grand daughter Emily Lewis Rich (Joseph M. Rich) and two great grand daughters Elizabeth Roper Rich and Rebecca Josephine Rich. Two sisters Rheba McNeal Joyce and Betty McNeal Brockwell and several nieces and nephews.
