John Edward Norman Sr.

NORMAN, John Edward (Bud) Norman, Sr. 86, a longtime resident of Ramer, Alabama, died on April 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Charlie” Norman and Sallie Ann Jordan Norman and brothers, Robert “Bobby” Norman and Tommy Norman. He is survived by his son, John Edward “Eddie” Norman, Jr. and daughter, Julie Bates (Larry); grandchildren, Markie Geon, Savannah Greenlee (Mac), Tori Maklary (Kane), Mattie Bates and Carter Bates; great grandchildren, Louise and Francis Greenlee, Liam and Isla Maklary, and Tucker, Alex and Corabelle Geon. He also had a special place in his heart for his niece, Donna McCarter. He was born on October 15, 1936 at home in Ramer and graduated from Montgomery County High School there. He lived many years in Montgomery working at a building supply company before returning to Ramer for retirement. He enjoyed a simple life which he enjoyed. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and they brought huge smiles to his face. He will be buried alongside his parents at Bethlehem Cemetery. The funeral will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Sunday, April 30, 2023 with visitation at 1:00 and the service at 2:00.
