John Wayne Raines, 72, of Deatsville went to be in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. John was born in Crenshaw County and was preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Annie J. Raines, and his daughter Karen Holt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Shirley of Deatsville, AL; son: Dr. Michael Raines and wife Jessica of Kalamazoo, MI; sister: Elizabeth Johnson of Brantley, AL and son in law: Keith Holt. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel with visitation beginning at 9 am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
