John Hubert Tew Jr.

John H. Tew, Jr., age 78, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at his home in Prattville, Alabama. John was born in Montgomery, Alabama on August 8, 1946 and spent most of his life in the Montgomery area. John loved music and could often be heard singing a tune of his favorite musician, Roy Orbison. He was an avid reader who loved to learn and a die hard Alabama football fan. Most importantly, he loved Jesus and tried his best to live a life that showed his love for the Lord.

John is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Norris Tew, and his parents, John H. Sr. and Marzee King Tew. John is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Barbara Tew; his three children, Trey Tew, Todd Tew, and Tamara Blair; his two sisters, Norma Tew Watts and Carol Tew Strickland; his grandchildren, Aaron Tew, Cameron Tew, Paige Hopp, Blaike Hopp, Haley Tew, David Blair, and Madalyn Blair; three great-grandchildren, Brielle, River, and Liam; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A friends and family visitation for John will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 3:00 PM.
