Karen Sue Hudgens

Karen Sue Hudgens, age 70, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Karen was born November 18, 1951, in Indiana to Walter H. Anderson and Norma Jean Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son in law Stephen T. Swain. Mrs. Hudges is survived by her husband Wayne Hudgens, her children Lori (Donald "Matt") Matheson, Suzanne (Darrell Jr.) Sellers and Jared Hudgens, her grandchildren Cody Smiddy, Kayla Smiddy, Victoria Spellman, Kiera Moore, Kylie (Kelly) Trujillo and Christy House, her great grandchildren Aiden Smiddy, Baleigh House, Jase McKibbee, her brothers Wally (Patty) Anderson, Fred (Carol) Anderson and John (Tammy) Anderson, and her sister-in-law Sue Ann Friese, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Retiring after 35 years as a histology technician, she also enjoyed her gardens and flowers, socializing with friends, traveling, watching movies and having coffee with family and friends. She was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed watching football, but she loved her family most of all.

A celebration of life memorial service for Karen will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109 officiated by Rev. Gary Burton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be shared with Pintlala Baptist Church.
