Kenneth Clinton Whitaker

He was truly one of a kind, and will be dearly missed. His love for God, his church, his family, his country, and for nature was evident to all that knew him. He was so full of life and lit up a room when he entered. He was a true gentleman with a spirit of love, patience, and kindness.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pearl Whitaker, and his sisters Helen Spicer and Luvada Ferguson.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years ,Marjorie, his brother Howard Whitaker (Nell), his 3 children, Freddie DiPlacido, Susan Seng (Mike), and Jim Whitaker, his 7 grandchildren, Paige Law (Bobby), Bruce DiPlacido (Anna), Holly Meier (Mikey), Jordan Seng (Leah), Ashley Williams (Nolan), Clint Whitaker (Liz), and David DiPlacido, and his 13 precious great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brooke, Shelby, Reese, Evan, Jake, Aubrey, Julia, Mikey, Mason, Myles, Mary Carolyn, and Ava.

Services will be held at Dalraida United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday, December 4th, 2015 at 1:00 pm, and a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital City Master Gardeners Association, or to Dalraida United Methodist Church in Kenneth's honor.
