Kris Douglas Jones

Kris was born on October 14, 1952 to Nancy and Ronald Jones in Braddock, PA. He joined the Air Force after graduating from high school in Guys Mills, PA and met his wife Elizabeth during his first overseas assignment in the Philippines.

He retired from the Airforce after 20+ years of service and earned a degree in Information Technology from Auburn University of Montgomery. He worked in I.T. at Auburn Technical Group, The Alabama Department of Transportation and The Alabama Department of Agriculture until he retired.

Kris was preceded in death by his father Ronald E Jones and stepfather George Rockafellow. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jones, son Kristian Jones (Chelsie), daughter Bernadette Ivy Crumpton (Jim), grandsons Tres Crumpton & Kole Crumpton, mother Nancy Rockafellow, siblings Keith Jones (Cathy), Kim Collins (Bob), Karri Cope (Chuck) and nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday August 9th at 11AM, family and friends visitation will be one hour prior to service from 10 until 11
