Hammonds, Larry passed away on June 13 in Montgomery, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Mozelle Hammonds. but survived by his sister Sandra and nephew Bryan (Cayce.)

Larry was a graduate of Auburn University and was a big supporter of the Auburn Athletic Program. He was an avid runner in his younger years and a coach for other runners in his later life.

Visitation will be at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home on July 24, 2025 from 10:30-11:00 AM with a Celebration of Life service to follow. The officiant will be Reverend Winston Brooks. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
