Leta O. Sousa, 90, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 11:00AM – 12:00PM at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church Chapel. A Memorial Service will begin at 12:00PM. Mrs. Sousa was born on October 26, 1924 in Salida, Colorado to Fred and Essie Cantonwine. Mrs. Sousa is survived by daughter Sharon Grieshop and husband Trigg of Montgomery, AL, son David Sousa of Orlando, FL, and daughter, Karen Daniels and husband Rhett of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Cantonwine. Mrs. Sousa served as a Navy Wave during World War II. She retired with over 35 years of Federal Civil Service in the Navy Publications and Printing Service Office as Deputy Director. She was a volunteer for the Laubach Literacy program and for Baptist East Medical Center. Some of her hobbies included: bowling, Toastmasters, stained glass, silk flowers, knitting, crocheting, sewing, creative cards, traveling and gardening. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Alabama Laubach Literacy Council.
