Linda Barker Heims

Linda Barker Heims, age 79, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Linda was born May 23, 1943 to Joseph Dekalb Barker Sr. and Eleanor Gladys Pebworth Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lt. Col. Raymond H. Heims USAF Ret. Linda is survived by her brother, Joseph D. Barker Jr.; her sister, Marie B. Sanford; her nephews, Joseph Brian Barker, and William Leonard Barker; her nieces, Evelyn Renee Sanford Boadreaux, Eleanor Michele Sanford Pittman, Marinda Lenn Sanford McRae, and Glennda Marie Sanford Hollon.

She will be remembered as a military wife who supported her husband and his career, a native of Montgomery who was a head majorette at Capitol Heights Junior High and Robert E. Lee High School. Linda also lived in Naples, FL before returning to Montgomery.

A family and friends visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A graveside service is set for 2:00 PM at Oakwood Annex, 1304 Upper Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36107.
