Love Jeanette Daniel Bowden, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went to be with her Lord on 12 August 2018. There will be a celebration of her life of 93 years on Wednesday 15 August 2018 at Leak Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama. Visitation is scheduled for 10:30am with a service at 12:00pm to be followed by a graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery
Jeanette was born in Montgomery where she lived her entire life. She was an active member of Dalraida Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She worked until recently in an outreach program for home bound missions. She enjoyed working in ceramics and stained glass with her late husband Howard. Together they enjoyed dancing and were experts on the dance floor for many years. Jeanette loved people and thrived in social settings. Jeanette was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, sang in a senior choir group (Seton Haven Gems), and many other activities.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas Walter Daniel and Annie Maude Daniel of Montgomery. She is survived by her three children, daughters, Dianne Bowden Curington and husband Wade of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Renee Bowden Sims of Montgomery, Alabama and son, Howard Lynn Bowden of Wetumpka, Alabama; grandchildren, Donnie Curington and wife Krystine of Houston, Texas, Keith Curington and wife Lin of Gulf Breeze, Judi Baker and husband Brandon of Pace, Florida, Jay Sims and wife Rhonda of Holtville, Alabama, and Kevin Sims and wife Rachel of Prattville, Alabama; and great grandchildren, Nicole Curington of Houston, Texas, Ryan Curington of New York, New York, Aubrey Duckworth and husband Mitchell of West Virginia, Amanda Smith and husband Ethan of Fort Rucker, Alabama, Garner Curington and Avery Curington of Gulf Breeze, Emilie Baker, Mabrie Baker, Mollie Baker, Christian Dryden of Illinois, Gabrielle Sims, Ashley Sims and wife Taylor, Jasmine Sims, and Alex Griffith.
She is also survived by her twin sister Annette Daniel Culp of Montgomery, Alabama, and younger sister Sara Daniel Sprague Brooks of Montgomery. Jeanette also had many nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
