Lucile C Wilson

A visitation is set for Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Lucile was born February 9, 1923, in Georgianna, Alabama. She met the love of her life, Lt. Col. Fred T. Wilson, Jr. in Montgomery. During their marriage she was a supportive and loving wife during his military career wherever they were stationed, including Alabama, Guam, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, California and Massachusetts. After his death, she moved her family back to Montgomery. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Lucile had a career at the Alabama Dept. of Education. On retirement she enjoyed playing cards at the Crump Center, traveling and enjoying her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. In 2016, she moved to Somerby Senior Living Center in Birmingham, AL to be near family.

Survivors include her 4 children Patricia Manley, Carol Miles (Dan), Fred T. Wilson III, and Mark Wilson (Susan); 5 grandchildren Thomas Manley (Brandy), Nicholas Miles (Ellen), Allison Miles Ciafardini (Chris), Matthew Wilson (Austin DeBeaux) and Jordan Wilson Miller (Kenny); 8 great grandchildren Piper, Owen and Griffin Manley, Cole, Raleigh and Trigg Miles, Ruby Ciafardini and Kenzie Miller.
