

Luther Griffin Mann Jr. “Griff”, 72 of Prattville, Alabama passed away on December 27, 2019 surrounded by his family. Survivors include his loving wife, Connie J. Mann; Children; Joe, Marvin (Tina) and Tammy; mother, Mary Mann; sister, Linda Edwards; grandsons, Devan, Brannon, Adam, Jared, Sara, Brendan and Eli; six great-grandchildren, Sadie, Simmon, Maddox, Jeremy, Gemma and Marisella; niece, Tori; nephew, Hunter, great-nephew, Coner. home he worked as a truck driver for many years doing long hauls for Wiley Sanders and hauling food products for Winn Dixie while raising a family, instilling great family values, strong work ethics and honor in all of his children.
Griff proudly served his country during Vietnam War, from July 1967-July 1969. During which time he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars by distinguishing himself by heroic and meritorious service, 1 Silver Star awarded for gallantry in action and 1 Purple Heart for wounds he received in battle. After returning home, he worked as a truck driver for many years doing long hauls for Wiley Sanders and hauling food products for Winn Dixie while raising a family, instilling great family values, strong work ethics and honor in all of his children.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020, 12 noon at White Chapel Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL. 36109 with burial to follow at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to services.
