Luther Daniel Morgan

Mr. Luther Daniel Morgan peacefully passed away at his residence surrounded by loving family on Friday Aug 19. He was born in Golden Springs, Al. He joined the Army and then became a police officer for the Sylacauga police dept. In 1966, he moved to Montgomery, Al where he joined the MPD. He was a business owner of Alabama Carpet Sales and Morgan Properties. He loves Nascar, his pets and Auburn football. He loves gospel singings and giving tours of his beloved Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Wofford Morgan and Mary Freeman Morgan, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by a loving wife of fifty seven years Betty Morgan; son Gregory Morgan; two daughters Pamela Morgan and Tammy Morgan Hodges; two granddaughters Morgan Hodges and Megan (Jason) Swindle; two sisters Becky Morris and Sandy Truitt. A family and friends visitation is scheduled for Wed Aug 24 from six to eight at Leak Memory. A Celebration of Life Service Thursday Aug 25 at 11am at Leak Memory Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Montgomery Humane Society.
