Margaret Louise Adkins

Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret L. Adkins, 96, of Montgomery will be Sunday September 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Rhon Carlton and Rev. Jim Salminen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Adkins passed away peacefully Thursday at her residence.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy (Marvin) Klein and Ruby (Ron) Hanold; sister, Daisy McClure; grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Thomas) Marzano, Mark (Jennifer) French, Jennifer (Jon) Roy, Glenn (Kim) Wilson; step granddaughter, Amber McKenzie; great grandchildren, Brandon Pastula; Nathan and Rachel Gamache; Ayden, Maya, and Ian French; Hunter and Dylan Roy; John Parker and Jacob Wilson; and Gabriella and Gavin McKenzie.

Mrs. Adkins is preceded in death by her husband Glenn R. Adkins; son, Glenn Adkins Jr.; daughter, Bernice Foss; parents, Eddie B. and Bernice Yates McGlown; and 5 siblings.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Pastula, Thomas Marzano, Leigh Ann Marzano, Glenn Wilson, Jennifer Roy, and Jon Roy.

Mrs. Adkins was retired from the American Red Cross, after over 50 years of service. She was a veteran of the United States Army and a policewoman with the Montgomery Police Department for 10 years. She was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother who will be deeply loved and missed.
