She loved her family, her church, and sewing.
Maragret was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Farrior Tompkins; her son Ernest Farrior (Pete) Tomkins, Jr; and son-in-law, Myron Uptain.
She is survived by her son, Frank Tompkins; daughter, Brenda Uptain; daughter-in-law, Sheralee Tomkins; 11 Grandchildren; and 9 Great- Grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama with a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm in the Chapel with Rev. Leanne Scarbrough officiating. A burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearer to include: John Eric Tompkins, David Tompkins, Paul Tomkins, John Evan Tompkins, Tim Petreit, and Adam Brown.
