Margie Pate Wylie

Margie went to be with her Lord and savior on July 10, 2025 with her family around her. She was born in Louin, Mississippi on May 6, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bo Wylie; her mother, Arluin Ishee Wall. She is survived by three children, Marsha (Jimmy) Carlisle, Deland Wylie, and Theresa Broadway (Tommy-deceased); six grandchildren, Dan (Courtney) Carlisle, Craig (Susan) Carlisle, Mandi (David) Rouse, Jack (Scarlette) Wylie, Casey (Jackie) Wylie, and Brooke (Dustin) Schoknecht; nineteen great grandchildren, Caroline, Callie, Conley, Bryant, Brayden and Anna Claire Carlisle, Claire and Cooper Rouse, Taylor, Peyton, and Bo, Brooks, Alex, Easton, and Colt Wylie, and Tyler and Luke Schoknecht.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her family knew that she was there for them if and when she was needed. No request was too small or too large. "Ask Mimi"- she would come through.

She also served her Jesus. From an early age, she taught Bible Study classes. It was during a summer teaching caravan that she met her husband, Bo. They married 6 months later, moved to Alabama where they lived until he passed in 2010. She continued to serve Jesus in her church, home and community. She has been a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for over 75 years. She served in many capacities throughout her church life. She had a love for others and enjoyed entertaining other family and friends. Everyone was welcomed at her house. She gave freely to others and taught us to do the same.

She has fought a good fight and has finished her race! She kept her faith (2 Tim. 4:7)

A friends and family visitation for Margie will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A graveside will occur Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Montrose Cemetery, 346 County Rd. 20, Louin, Mississippi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Margie be remembered through gifts to your favorite charity.
