Mary "Fran" Frances Janes

Janes, Mary Frances, 82 years old, resident of Burkville, AL, passed away, June 3, 2020. The viewing will be held at 1:00 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, a Celebration of Life at 2:00, and a graveside service will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, officiated by Father Charles Troncale. Fran “Maw Maw” Janes was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Prudie Mae Paulk, her precious and loving husband, Jacob F Janes, a son, Jacob Anthony Janes, her siblings, Marie Garner, Barbara Ann McNeil, Earnest Paulk, Jimmy Paulk, Bruce Paulk, Louise Paulk and Ulysses Paulk, and a grandson, Kyle Whitworth. She is survived by siblings, Betty Jean Saye and Patricia Diavanti, children, Frank Joseph Janes and Joann Janes, grandchildren, Alicia Hoover, Nicole Simmons (Rusty), Jacob Anthony Janes, Jr (Tracy), Jason Janes (Jennifer), Jennifer Janes, Jacqueline Whitworth, Cody Gillespie Janes, and Travis Shubert (Jill), along with 14 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers include Cody Bush, Cody Gillespie Janes, Eddie Eagerton, Jason Janes, Jacob A Janes and Daniel Janes.

The amount of love and generosity given over her lifetime is countless. The pride for her family, unequaled. Jake and Fran built and worked a legacy in Lowndes County called Jake’s Fish Camp for 33 years. The patrons of this establishment lived in their hearts until the very end. Fran “Maw Maw” Janes will be deeply missed by too many to mention.
