

Mary Jo Little, age 91, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 25th, 2025. Born and raised in Headland, Alabama, Mary Jo was known for her unwavering Christian faith, her devotion to family, and her generous spirit. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and service to others.
A woman of remarkable energy, Mary Jo enjoyed tending to her yard and continued mowing her own grass until the age of 87. She was an avid card player, and her family cherishes memories of her teaching her grandchildren how to play. Mary Jo retired from ALFA as a Certified Life Insurance Underwriter, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication.
Her faith was central to her life. Mary Jo was an active member of the Prime Time Singles Sunday School at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery, where she especially enjoyed retreats and group trips. She volunteered for many church-sponsored activities, including Zoo Day and the Noon Salad Luncheon, and was a beloved participant at the Crump Senior Citizens Center, where she loved playing canasta.
Mary Jo is survived by her brother, Jerry Morgan of Suffolk, VA; her children: Donnie Little (special friend Cheryl Farmer) of Homewood, AL), Scott Little (Brianne) of Midland City, AL, and Cathy Longeway (Todd) of Nashville, TN. Her grandchildren are Natalie Castaneda of Nashville, TN, Jed Longeway (Taylor) of Dickson, TN, Austin Little of Millbrook, AL, and Madeline Little of Midland City, AL, as well as step-grandson Damon McKenzie (Christina) of Prattville, AL. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Ava Grace Little, Gloria Rose Castaneda, Rye Jackson Castaneda, Frederick Castaneda, and Cooper Longeway. In addition, she deeply loved her four step-grandchildren: Tyler McKenzie, Liam McKenzie, Trevyn McKenzie, and Logan McKenzie, and her friend Susan Colquett of Millbrook, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Kingdom Disciples at Frazer United Methodist Church.
Mary Jo Little’s legacy of faith, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was a good and faithful servant who is now at her heavenly home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and community.
