Maureen Brie MacDonald Smith

Maureen Brie (MacDonald) Smith passed away February 17, 2026. Born to Robert Alan MacDonald and Janice Lynn (Farrell) Casleton in Naples, Italy, she was 50 years old. Maureen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry David and Carolyn Haig MacDonald and Edward Joseph and Theresa Dianne Farrell; her uncles, Gerald Lynn MacDonald and Robert Edward Farrell; her aunts, Kathleen Sue (MacDonald) Griffith and Carol Lowe; and her cousin, Megan Nicole Farrell.

She is survived by her beautiful children, Ainsley Grace and Colby Jackson Smith; the father of her children, Jason Lee Smith, their paternal grandmother, Barbara Lowe Smith; her sisters, Alison MacDonald (Joshua) Partin and Michell Carolyne Lewis; her brother, Charles Kenney; her nieces and nephews, Trae (Carina) Seithalil, Abrielle Williams, Gabriel Partin, Nathanial Partin, Emmalyn Partin, Savannah (Daniel) Juneau and Rachel (Caitlin Mahoney) Lewis; aunts and uncles, Joan Carol Lindsay, Roberta Farrell, Charles Farrell, Michael (Leata) Farrell, Kathleen (Robert) Gordon, Patricia Farrell and Terry Lowe; her Farrell cousins Shaun (Brenna), Christopher (Emma), Nicholas (Daniella) and Stephanie (Scott); and her MacDonald cousins James, Terri, Kimberly, Steven, Kyra, Jennifer (Charles) and Rebecca.

Maureen was best known for her deep love of family … and cows – they’re everywhere! She enjoyed crafting and was always working on something for someone. She couldn’t get enough of watching her daughter play volleyball and basketball or cheering at Evangel Christian Academy. Most fall Saturdays would find her cheering for University of Alabama football.

She spent nearly 30 years working in various capacities for Premiere Video/Premiere Tan/Palm Beach Tan, and then for Boosters Inc. as a purchasing agent for a few months before her cancer was diagnosed.
