Michael is preceded in death by his father Jerry Timothy Barnett of Goshen, Alabama and his mother Irene Eggers Barnett of Montgomery, Alabama.Michael is survived by his children Ben Barnett (Birmingham, Al) and Caroline Barnett (Coosada, Al). Three sisters, Lisa (Lynn) Sims, Montgomery Al, Anita (Sam) Harris Coosada, Al, Susan (the late Robbie) Geddie Montgomery, Al. Four nieces, Whitney (Jordan) Broderick, Ashley (Blake) Calloway, Haley Geddie, Morgan Williamson. Two nephews, Travis Sims and Tyler Geddie. Two great nieces and three great nephews. Many other family and friends.
Michael loved fishing, grilling out, gardening, sitting around a camp fire talking and telling jokes and stories.
Keeping with Michael’s wishes the family will hold a private service at a later date.
