Joel Michael Gunn, age 68, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. Mike is survived by his children, Brian (Beth) Gunn, August Gunn, and Michelle Gunn; his mother, Virginia Gunn; his grandchildren, Greyson, Liam, Brooks, Wyatt, Caleb and Rowen (coming in May); his great grandchildren, Zeke and Azariah; his brother, Bill (Margie) Gunn; and nieces/nephews, Tabitha, Joe and Ginger.
A repairman for a copier service, Mike could fix most anything. A woodworker and a hospice volunteer, he also acted as a black smith at Old Alabama Town. Active at Evangel Church, he participated in many MAPS mission trips. He will be remembered as an Alabama fan but even more, a man who loved his family deeply.
A family and friends visitation for Mike will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109 followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Services will conclude with a burial at 12:00 PM at Oakwood Annex, 1304 Upper Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36107.
