Murrell B. Wilkins, a fine Christian wife, mom, and grandmother passed away at home Wednesday April 25, 2012. Mrs. Wilkins was a school teacher in the Montgomery School system for many years following her graduation from the University of Alabama. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard Wilkins; daughter, Karen McGuire; granddaughter and greatest treasure, Kelsey McGuire, and Kelsey’s dad, Eric McGuire. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lloyd, Fairhope, AL; nieces Jan Lloyd, Pensacola, FL and Jean Cabe, Mobile, AL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Bess Wilkins, Reform, AL; and her faithful friend and aide, Carolyn Strowder. Visitation will be Thursday, April 26 at Leak Memory from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Suzie Beeson and Nathan Hamilton on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice Advantage for their assistance and support during this time.
