Nancy Benton Buck

Nancy was born in Shelbyville, TN., to Benton Pruitt Ashley and Nannie Lee Ashley. She grew up in Columbia, TN., and graduated from Central High School in 1958. She moved to Montgomery in the 1960s. She was a member of Normandale United Methodist Church and Dalraida United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and loved traveling with her husband, Al. Family traditions were always important to her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Benton Pruitt Ashley and Nannie Lee Ashley, and her brother, Joe Rich Ashley, all of Columbia. She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. Virgil A. Buck, USAF Ret., her daughter, Rebecca Lee Cason and son-in-law Mike Cason, her daughter, Carole Denise Knight and son-in-law Blake Knight, grandson Benton Michael Cason and his wife Emily Cason, grandson Alexander Lee Cason, great grandchildren Isaac Benton Cason and Mackenzie Browder Cason and stepsons Richard Buck and wife Kristy Buck, Robert Buck and wife Deanna Buck, and Ronald Buck, several step-grandchildren and a step- great grandchild Kai Zion Muge, her sister-in-law, Elaine Ashley Neill, and several nieces and a nephew.

A special thank you to her caregiver, Annie Zeigler, the staff of Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, and her caregivers that worked for Right at Home.

A memorial service will be held July 24 at Leak Memory Chapel, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and the service beginning at 2:30 p.m.
