

Her life influenced many and was cherished by her friends and family. She was an active member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church for forty years and was a volunteer in the shut-in ministry and a member of the senior choir. She retired from the Montgomery Police Department in 1984. She was a graduate of Holtville High School and was crowned Miss Holtville in 1947. Preceding her in death are: husband, W. F. (Billy), her parents, Jesse Knox Rowlen and Elizabeth Rowlen her brother, Jesse Rowlen and sister, Roselyn.
She is survived by her six children: Paulette Baker Phillips (Dr. Ron Phillips) of Chattanooga, TN; Frank Baker (Blanche Baker) of Eclectic, AL; Larry Furman Baker (Karen Baker) of Fort Worth, TX; Leisa Baker Boyle (Dr. Gary Boyle) of Blountville, TN; Dennis Baker (Kim Baker) of Montgomery, AL; and Burt Baker of Prattville, AL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Kelli Phillips Logue, Heather Phillips Wooten, Dr. Ronnie Phillips Jr., Kandi Baker Tucker, Jason Rowlen Baker, Jeremy Baker, Dr. Ben Baker, Brett Baker Wilson, Harper Boyle, Mandy Heberling, Matthew Boyle, Nikki Boyle Gay, Ashley Baker Leonard, Jessica Baker, Morgan Baker Hunter, and Taylor Baker. She is survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Phillips, Jason Baker, Harper Boyle, Matthew Boyle, Taylor Baker, and Tyler Leonard.
The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice Services and her loving caregivers Jean James Moore, Jane Herttell, and Debbie Lyons.
Funeral services will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, August 22nd at 2:00pm with Visitation at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.
