

Phillip “Landon” Rogers passed away April 3, 2014 at his home in Montgomery, AL. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 11 years Andrea, his daughter, Cortney Rogers of Oneonta, his father, Phillip Rogers, (Sandi) of Belton, Mo, and his sister, Lacresure Rodman of Birmingham. Landon loved Crimson Tide football and fishing with his good friend Ronnie Shambo. Landon also had a unique sense of humor; he could keep you laughing for hours. We must not forget how much he loved his basset hound Winston. Mr. Rogers was also an accomplished student at Virginia College majoring in medical terminology, his 4.0 grade average afforded him the privilege of being on the President’s and Dean’s Lists. As a Specialist in the U. S. Army, he served 14 ½ years in the Combat Engineers division, helping to provide aid during Hurricane Andrew in August of 1992 and serving during Operation Enduring Freedom until his retirement in October 2006. Funeral services will be at Leak Memory Chapel, Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 6:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. On line condolences may be made at www.LEAK-MC.com
