Dr. K, I miss you so very much, I know we both had an impact on each other’s life out of my 40 years. You were the best dentist I have work for I think and talk about you every day. I just pray it would have been longer to spend time and know all of the good side of you. I wish it could not have happened to you. I love and miss you so much.

He was my only dentist for his entire 50 years of practice and I always considered him a friend.  He will be hard to replace

I was almost ten years old when my nephew, Randy, was born. He was such a beautiful baby with such beautiful hair. As a little boy, he had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He was about two years old when we were moving to Tuscaloosa. We missed my dog and asked Randy where he was. He had put it in the cedar chest because the dog was getting in the way. We missed the dog a little later, and Randy said he wouldn't get in the way of moving anymore because "I put him in the cigerator (refrigerator)." He meant no harm; he just thought he was helping. He was a pretty, smart, and sweet little boy.  My husband, Robert, and I had many good times with Barbara and him. I last saw him at his sister, Toni's, for the 2023 Alabama/Auburn game. I got to meet Vonne. We had such a good time reminiscing, talking, and laughing. He really enjoyed the 4th and 31 ending!  We talked back and forth about Alabama games. One of the last times I talked with him, he checked to make sure the insurance company was handling my water damage claim right. He was taking care of me like he did everyone else. I will miss him.

Randy, Scott, and Patrick,

I am saddened to hear of the death of your dad. I have so many fun memories of him when the three of you were young and our families would spend time together.  You and all of your family are in my thoughts, my heart and my prayers.  May God’s love and your happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time.  I wish I could be there to attend the service,  but I live in South Carolina now and rarely get back to Montgomery.

It has been about 56 years since I last saw
 Randy. I had the pleasant experience of having Randy as a roommate in about 1967 or 1968 at the University of Alabama. I remember Randy as a person with a very congenial and outgoing personality. We shared many good  and happy times together with a group of close friends in those very early days at the university.  The most dramatic incident that happened during this time was once when I was returning home from south Alabama to the University I stopped in Centerville  to show Randy the “new” automobile that my dad had gotten me for transportation to school. I gave him the wheel and we had a great time driving around and exploring Centerville. As we were returning to his house a big log truck’s driver-  forgetting how long his logs were and  tore  out the side of the automobile we were driving. That was a close call but we both came out of it without a scratch. It turned out to be a good day! 
While I haven’t met you-Randy’s family-I just want to say how much I appreciate the good memories and times that I spent with and around this great guy. I’ll always remember his big smile and I am pleased to know that he had such good successes first in raising such a fine family and becoming such a great and well respected dentist.  May God bless you all during this difficult time. Please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Randy was my big brother. We disagreed at times like most brothers do, but I could always count on Randy when I needed help. My brother was the absolute best general dentist I ever saw in my 40 years of dental practice. No other dentist could equal the level of perfection that he provided his patients. Randy made me a better dentist by his example. The last time I visited him in mid March we laughed together about the jokes that our Uncle John played on us during our fishing trips together. Randy was a fine man, an outstanding dentist, and a great big brother. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace big brother.

This is one of my favorite memories with my father-in-law. We were at the FloraBama for the polar bear dip New Year’s Day. He never met a stranger. We will miss him dearly. Roll Tide, Randy❤️

We met Randy through our cousin, Barbara, many years ago.  The fall season will never be the same without our text messages to one another cheering on both Bama and the Gators.  The camaraderie was something we always looked forward to.  Randy was always kind and generous to our entire family. 

From sunsets on the beach together, to fish on the grill, good times at Flora-Bama and the warm Gulf waters at our feet, these are memories we shall always cherish.  We will miss him terribly.

Thank you, Randy for always taking good care of me…even if it meant shooting me in the back with a BB gun to stop me from running off down the road! You were instructed to watch after me while Mother hung clothes on the clothesline in the backyard. I guess you thought a sting in the back would be better than letting your little sister get hit by a car!
Thank you for teaching me how to throw a softball far enough to pass my PE physical fitness test in the seventh grade. I missed you  so much the summer you were selected to study in the special science program at Livingston University for high school students. I cried when you left. I was so happy the day Mother packed a picnic and she and Daddy took Toni Sue, Kim, and me to visit you while you were there. 
Thank you for saving our Chico the time he jumped up on the table one night after supper and cut his leg on a broken plate. “Super Randy” was to the rescue with your recently acquired suture skills to mend our beloved Chihuahua! It was like you were born to use your hands. It was with those God given skills and your gentle nature that made you a Master Dentist. We are all so proud of you and all your accomplishments! Most of all, thank you for giving me the peace of knowing you would help me any way you could if I ever needed you. I love you forever.

Not all the time we can meet people who impress us with their kindness, respect and genuine joy of knowing you.
Randy you made me feel very special and I remember like yesterday when I met you, but you left an indelible mark on My memory.

Rest in peace dear friend.    My husband Emmett and Randy were in the same dental school class.  Emmett worked for Randy in Millbrook after getting out of the service until he established his own practice in Aliceville.  Emmett always appreciated Randy’s mentorship with both the technical and business aspects of running a dental practice.  I cherish many special memories with Randy, Barbara and Vonne.    My sincere sympathy to his family and loved ones.

I am sadden to hear of the passing. I have  had many good conversation with this man. He was a good dentist and friend.  He always greeted me with a smile and how are you today. He will be missed. Go rest high

I work for Dr. K from May 15,  2023 until January 10,  2024 I am in tears to have had to give up my time with Dr. K, especially after he ask me two weeks in working with him to never leave him and I would be with him right now if he was  not called home to God’s Glory. In my heart mind and soul you will be missed love  you so much…

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear brother.  As a classmate of Toni in elementary school, I vividly remember Randy always watching over us on the playground, especially keeping us safe on the tall slides. 
He was so handsome and kind. Condolences to the entire family. 😞🙏💝

Our brother looked after and protected people all his life. He jumped in a creek to save me from drowning when I was 4.  He worked for Christmas money and gave me Barbie stuff he picked out himself. He threatened a boy who bullied me in high school, and  gave me the down payment and co-signed for my 1st car. When I told him I had a stalker he came to my Montgomery apartment  and insisted I move in with Barbara and him for safety. When I married he gave my husband, who became his best friend, the talk.
I will miss the daily silly memes, dry sense of humor, and the shared passion for all things University of Alabama, but most of all, I will miss knowing that whatever happened, whenever needed, he was only a phone call away.
 He was Godfather to our daughter, Kayla, and she dearly loved her Uncle Randy.
Roll tide big brother. As you asked,  we took your spirit to the Final 4.
In the words of your favorite artist, Bob Dylan:
“Hey Mr. Tamborine Man, play a song for me..In the jingle jangle early  morning I’ll come following you.”

Not only was Randy a dental colleague of Dons, he was one of our very best friends. We loved having him and Vonne visit us in the Nc mountains after we retired there. Wonderful memories were made.  Randy will surely be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Til we meet again dear friend.

Randy was one of my best friends, and my Brother in Law. I cherish memories of  our many fishing trips to the Great Lakes and Alaska.

I regret that I was not privileged to visit him prior to his passing.
