Robert E. Culver

Culver, Robert Eugene, 83, a longtime resident of Montgomery died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30am from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Wayne Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Hills Chapel Cemetery in Ramer. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Diane Johnson Culver; children, June Culver, David Culver (Vera), Mary Ann Pittman, Linda Taylor (Greg), Brenda Paul (Glenn), Rhonda Hobbs (Doug), Robert Culver (Brooke), Libby Miller (Matt), 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and sisters, Janice Dicks and Nancy McNeil. Mr. Culver was preceded in death by his parents, Alonza Thomas Culver and Annie Ruth Lamb Culver; son, Coleman Culver; brothers, Mike Culver, Tom Culver, Arthur Culver and sister, Mary Ruth Crews. Pallbearers will be Dane Self, Michael Self, Dustin Hobbs, Josh Hobbs, Cole Taylor, Hunter King, Parker Miller and Lake Paul. Mr. Culver was a Korean War Veteran and retired from Winn-Dixie. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday at Leak Memory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
