Robert Cornelius Napier Hutchinson

Robert C. N. “Poppy” Hutchinson, 78, of Montgomery, AL went home to the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Robert was born on October 18, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Patrick Hynds Hutchinson and Anna Oakley Hutchinson both preceding him in death as well as his brother, Lawrence Anthony Hutchinson and sister, Nancy Patricia Hutchinson. Loving survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Paulette Missildine Hutchinson; their children, Lori Hutchinson Porter (Will), Jennifer Hutchinson Buker; grandchildren, Haylee Hutchinson, Laney Porter, Kasey Porter, and Carolina Shropshire; niece, ReAnna Missildine; two brothers, Donald and Douglas Hutchinson; and last but not least, his four legged friends, Chase, Ellie, Dory, and Millie. Robert was a well known service electrical technician for nearly 5 decades. Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was loved and respected by all who knew him. All in all, he loved to make people laugh and smile.

The family asks you to join them in celebrating Robert’s life. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 5:00- 7:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel with a Funeral Mass at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
