Roger Dale Selman, age 68, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Born in West Virginia to Corbett F. Selman and Myrtle A. Radcliffe. Before moving to Montgomery, he lived in Savannah, Georgia. Roger served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Later he worked with heating and air installation. Roger was also a Member of American Legion Post 2.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peggy Whitaker Selman; son, David Selman; stepsons, Michael and Mark Brown, and a grandson, Kyler Bryson; as well as his close friends, Scott Ward and Chris Alexander. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Angela Selman.
A visitation for Roger will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A graveside will occur Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy. 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
