Samuel "Sam" Virden Morse III

Sam was preceded in death by his Grandfather John Allen Dees.

Sam is survived by his mother Jane Leslie Dees Speigner (David Lee), Father Samuel Virden Morse, Jr. (Heidi Gunther), and sister Amelia Lee Glenn Speigner. Grandmother Patricia Bloom Dees. Grandparents Samuel Virden Morse and Margaret Montgomery Morse.

Sam graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 2017 and was entering his Sophomore year at Rollins College.

Sam was a beacon of light for everyone he touched. He loved his family, friends, faith and his life’s purpose. He was a kind and well rounded young man who offered a unique perspective on the world. He did not falter in his words or thoughts. He was genuine, non-judgmental and loyal. His infectious, positive attitude was seen and appreciated by anyone who was lucky enough to share time with him. Sam simply wanted the best for all.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Beringer, Michael Beringer, Philip Bernstein, Hamilton Bloom, Hal Bloom Jr., William Bloom III, Walker Burroughs, Leslie Dees, Leslie Hammer Dees, Morris Dees Jr., Tatham Dees, Matt Kelley, Don Speigner Jr., Webb Speigner.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31 at 2:00 Temple Beth Or, 2246 Narrow Lane Road, Montgomery, AL 36106, Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Bloom Plot, Eternal Rest/Oakwood Cemetery.
