Stephen Emery Argent

Master Sgt. Stephen E. Argent, 76, of Prattville, AL died peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Baptist South Hospital, in Montgomery, AL. Steve was born on July 4, 1944 in Jasper, Alabama, to James Edward and Lola Ethel (Gant) Argent.

After graduating from high school, Steve joined the United States Air Force, faithfully serving his country for over 20 years until his retirement on May 1, 1986, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He met the love of his life, Janice Ford, and was united in marriage on August 9, 1979 in Montgomery, Alabama. Steve was an active member of the Prattville VFW 1349.

He is survived by his loving wife Janice Argent; his brother Raymond (Joan) Argent of Jacksonville, Florida; his two children Stephanie (DeWayne) Conn of Trussville, Alabama and Anthony Argent of Florence, Alabama as well as several grandchildren. Mr. Argent is further survived by many family members through marriage and shared a special bond with his niece Tammy (Mark) Stadler of Two Rivers, WI; grand-niece Allyse (Mark) Miller also of Two Rivers, WI; grand-nephew Staff Sgt. Nicholas Bauer, USAF; an loving known as "Uncle-Grandpa" to Trevor, Jack "Emery" & Malia Miller of Two Rivers, WI.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lola Argent; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Helen Ford. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family and all who knew him.
