Ed Barkley died at his sister's home in Millbrook on March 14, 2016. Under hospice care he had wrestled with cancer and left this world surrounded by friends and family. A veteran of Viet Nam, "Ez Up" called himself a jack of all trades and master of none. A CDL truck driver, a cabbie and a construction worker were just a few of the jobs he tackled. He rode in a motorcycle club and enjoyed life.
Mr. Barkley is survived by his wife: Reta Faye Barkley, his brothers and sisters: Hobert Oscar Barkley, Charles Michael Barkley (Debra), Paula Ward, Deborah Barkley and Tommie Barkley.
He was father to Misty Frazier, Robert Frazier and Jennifer Brown and grandfather to Brandon Frazier, Nichole Frazier, Matthew Umanzor, Blake Umanzor and Austin Manzor. His family tree also included many nieces, nephews, great and grand nephews and nieces.
