The Hancocks have been very special to our family ever since we moved on Pleasant Ave. in 1956...They and the
Waldens were neighbors who introduced
us to Goode ST Baptist Church and were
so good and helpful to a couple newly
married and far from home.  All of us 
later moved and the church became Southside Baptist----we did rear our children in that neighbor hood and 
church for many years.....even though
we moved to Kent we were able to keep 
in touch...there is a saying that
"friends are like stars, you know they
are there even when you can't see them".  MaryLee and I are blessed to
know where our beloved husbands are !!
 MaryLee, Susan, Ray and all your extended family please know prayers are with you as you follow this new path--and Jesus is walking with you.

I love your dear family. Your dad was a great example of goodness and godliness. The love your mother and father shared was remarkable and exemplary. Be sure we will praying for Aunt Dee, you and Ray for all that comes next. It was such a joy for me to see you. I am sorry, though, for the event that made it possible. Love.

Safety Home I am home in Heaven dear ones, All so happy all so bright there's perfect joy and beauty in this every lasting light. All the pain and grief is over every restless tossing past I'm now at peace forever Safely home in Heaven at last did you wonder I so calmly trod the valley of the shade oh! That Jesus love iliumined every dark and fearful glade. And he came himself to meet me .On that way so hard to tread and with Jesus arms to lean on could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must grieve so sorely for I love you dearly still. Try to look beyond earth's shadow pray to trust our Father's will There is still work waiting for you so you much not idle stand do your work while life remains you shall rest in Jesus land when that work is completed he will gently call you home oh the rapture of that meeting the joy to see you come .

I can remember how my family used to get together with Uncle Thomas and Aunt Mary Lee. When we were  going to Montgomery I would ask my parents are we staying with them they would say yes. I was so excited every time we go to their house. They would make us so comfortable.
On May of 2010 my husband and I drove down to Montgomery. We stayed with them had a great time. Uncle Thomas and Aunt Mary Lee  drove us around to look at the houses that we used to live in and where my parents worked also they took us out to eat at Kris's hamburger and hot dogs .
It was hard having to leave. Uncle Thomas you will be dearly missed .

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs Hancock and Susan & family.  Oh the wonderful memories I have!  Too many to mention here.  He was a great man, one of a group of men I was born and raised with at Southside Baptist Church.  Not many of that group of special men left.  He always reached around and pulled my ear or hair then would stretch up so I couldn't pull his back.  Always one to tease me. lol   He always had a smile on his face and sang with the voice of a angel.  He has earned his wings and a spot in heaven!  You will be missed my friend!  Love you all! <3
