
Thomas M. (Tommy) Weaver, age 77, passed away January 14, 2013. He was born March 27, 1935 in Grady, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents; William Morgan "WM" Weaver and Lillie Bell Russell Weaver, and nine siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Durden Weaver; six children, Dewey C. (Janis) Worthington, Teresa L. Worthington, David M. Worthington, L.Thomas (Trisha) Weaver, William M. (Sherry) Weaver Sr., Robert J. Weaver; seven grandchildren, Michael Worthington, Wm. Morgan (Casey) Weaver Jr., Erin Weaver, Lauren (Michael) Hitt, Chris (Judy) Davis, Alexandra Davis, Mandy Weaver; and four great grandchildren, William M. "Tripp" Weaver III, Piper Worthington, Abraham "Abe" Weaver, and Anabelle Hitt.
Tommy distinguished himself at Noland Company, working his way up to Branch Manager and expanding operations to a three store complex in Montgomery, Ozark, and Opelika. He retired in 1998 after 40 years of service. He served in many organizations including President of the Lions Club of Montgomery, AL. He and Mary enjoyed traveling immensly, visiting over 30 countries, many with the Montgomery Friendship Force (of which he served as president). Tommy was an avid golfer, A member of the Montgomery Golfers Association and the Alabama 60+ Golfers Association. He also served in the U. S. Navy.
Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 10:00 am until 11:00am, funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, conducted by the Honorable Bob McKee.
Pall bearers will be past and present employees of Noland Company: Jimmy Barkley, Andrew Cooper, Bill Hopson, Hardy Kirk, Bo McDougald and Paul Sloan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
