

Turner Eli Paseur, age 86, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Turner was born August 3, 1935 in Alabama to Winfred and Hazel Paseur where he was 8th of 10 children. Turner married Gearldine Fansler on June 21, 1957 and they were married for 64 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son John Davis Paseur; as well as 5 brothers and 3 other sisters.
Turner is survived by his wife, Gearldine Paseur and his daughter Amy Beth Paseur of Gallatin, Tennessee and a sister Louise (Catarino) Buenrrostro.
Turner graduated from New Hope High School where he received several awards. He earned his Bachelors in Bible from Alabama Christian (now Faulkner University) and his Masters in Bible from Ambridge University. A retired Church of Christ minister he served churches in Lewisburg, TN; Woodbury, TN; Murphreesboro, TN; Flat Rock, Michigan; Bermuda and Red Bay, AL. An active member of the Lions Club, Turner even served as chapter president in Woodbury and Red Bay.
He will be remembered as a servant of God who cared for his congregations with love and compassion. A quick wit, he had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at home.
A visitation for Turner will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM.
Honorary pallbearers will be Faires Austin, Randall Bailey, Chris Baker, Todd Brenneman, Barry Buford, Carl Cheatham, Sam Long, Cecil May, Keith Mock, Phil Norton, Ed Redman, Wilson Depriest and Larry Joyce. The family would like to share a special "Thank You" to Lucy Clifton, Neal and Glenda Anderson, Wilson Depriest and Larry Joyce for their presence in this time of need.
