Wayne Mason Gregory Sr.

Wayne Mason Gregory, Sr., (Macy) passed away on December 3rd, 2025, with his daughter and granddaughter by his side. He was born to David and Evelyn Mason Gregory, on August 5th, 1943, in Kentucky. Predeceased in death, David Gregory, Evelyn Mason Gregory, Leroy Brown (BIL), Carolyn Gregory Brown (sister), William D. Gregory (brother) and son, Wayne Mason Gregory.

He leaves behind his wife, Frankie K. Gregory, children, Dixie G. Brown (Harvey), Matthew A. Gregory (Jill), stepsons, Terry W. Owens and Tracy W. Owens. His beloved grandchildren, Kathleen B. DeHart, Taylor G. Cook, Katie Gregory, Evelyn Allie Brown, Addison A. Gregory and Emelia M. Gregory. Great-grandchildren, Sawyer J. Brown, Preston L. Cook, Nolan W. Cook, Emeline H. DeHart, Hawkins DeHart, Eleanor DeHart and Joseph DeHart. His wonderful nephews, Mike Brown and Greg Brown. Also, many friends that loved him very much.

Wayne (Macy) graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1966. He had a long career with Mercantile (McAlpin’s and Gayfers), until he retired and moved to Orange Beach, Alabama, and started a career in real estate.

He had many friends and never met a stranger. He will be very much missed; but we have comfort knowing that he is having a grand time in Heaven with family and our Heavenly Father. “See you in my dreams.”

Visitation will be on December 13th from 10:30 – 11:30 and service at 11:30 at Dowell & Martin, 365 W. Main Street, Mt. Vernon, Kentucky 40456.
